Athens Medical Center (AMC) consists of five independent buildings, superior in design and functionality. Facilities include the General Hospital and Paediatrics Center of Athens.
AMC has a capacity of 319 beds, 19 operating rooms, and an Intensive Care Unit (ICU) equipped with 24 beds.

Robotic surgery
Since 1984, patient-centered multidisciplinary services for life-threatening conditions have been provided.
Robotic surgery is the 21st century’s revolution, opening up new horizons in the field of medicine. Many constraints regarding operations in some difficult fields of surgery have been removed thanks to robotic assistance.
Because of the precision of the robot’s surgical arms, surgeons can now perform difficult operations while accessing the most difficult to reach and tiny parts of the human body.
The first robotic surgery performed in SE Europe, at Athens Medical Center, in 2006, ushered in a new era for medicine in the region, with significant scientific results and patient benefits.
